Messages for the TSRC Membership
I have been waiting to send this letter out for a week now as I watch the events unfold around the nation and its impact on healthcare providers. These are extraordinary times. For those working in healthcare it is business as usual, no working from home, and even working extra if needed.
Thank you, Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners, for Showing Up, Staying Calm, and Offering your Support and Comfort for those in need.
On behalf of the Texas Society for Respiratory Care (TSRC) Board of Directors please find the message below related to the newly released Mechanical Ventilation for COVID-19 Course developed in collaboration with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), edX, Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. It is important Respiratory Therapists are aware of the facts surrounding this collaborative effort in response to staffing models during pandemic times (like COVID-19).
The TSRC Board of Directors (BODs) would like to extend an invitation to nominate someone for the Practitioner of the Year Award! The BODs will be accepting nominations for nine (9) categories. Criteria require the nominee be an active member of the AARC and hold an active Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner’s License. At least two (2) nominees for each specific specialty category to move forward with an award.
