On February 24, 2017, the Texas Medical Board and Respiratory Care Board confirmed PICC Lines, Peripheral Line, and Venipuncture are included in the Respiratory Care Practitioner’s Scope of Practice in Texas. 

To provide needed education for members working in critical care, the Texas Society for Respiratory Care (TSRC) will be offering a  preconference Peripheral Access Training Course the day before the start of the 46th Annual TSRC State Conference on July 18, 2017. 

The Preconference is being sponsored by the TSRC and Teleflex.   

Space  is limited to only 60 attendees, the first 60 individuals who meet the following criteria will have a seat reserved:

1.  All attendees must be TSRC Members (will be verified).  If you are not currently a member, please become a member prior to registering, to become a member click here.

2.  Attendees must work in a hospital in critical care. A verification letter from the Respiratory Therapy Director must be sent to staceyrrt@gmail.comNOTE:  If on June 26, 2017 there are seats still available, the TSRC will open the remaining seats to non critical care practitioners working in an acute care hospital. (Verification Letter required). No students or RT Program educators will be allowed at this time.

COST: $150.00

The preconference will consist of lectures and rotation through five (5) stations of hands-on demonstrations.
